Datum.
How it works

Four steps, and you only do one of them

Datum takes the part of your business where enquiries and quotes come in, and does the repetitive half of it. You stay in charge of everything that reaches a customer.

01

You forward it

Point your enquiries address at Datum, or paste a message in. Nothing changes about how customers contact you.

02

It does the reading

Works out who it is, what they want, whether it is real and what it is worth. Junk is dropped without costing a human minute.

03

You approve

A draft reply or a fully costed quote, waiting. Read it, edit it, send it, or bin it. The only step that needs you.

04

It counts

Time saved, margin held, and what the AI itself cost. At month end you get a straight answer in dollars.

What it will never do

You are handing a machine your customer relationships. These are not settings you can switch off by accident.

It will never make up a price. Every figure in a quote is arithmetic over your own rate card. The AI reads the request and matches it to your trades. It does not do the sums and it cannot write to your prices.
It will never undercut your floor. You set the lowest margin you will work for. A job below it is refused outright and never reaches your approval screen.
It will never answer an angry customer. A complaint from someone you already work for gets no draft at all. It stops and tells you.
It will never quietly leave something out. Ask for something not on your rate card and it flags it rather than guessing.

The two workflows

Inbound enquiries

Reads everything that lands, sorts the real from the noise, and drafts a reply pitched to how strong the lead is.

  • Scored with the reasons shown
  • Vendor pitches and job applications dropped
  • Complaints escalated with no draft
  • High-value enquiries flagged for you first
Quotes and proposals

Parses the request, prices it against your rate card, sizes a contingency to the risk, and writes the covering letter.

  • Every figure is arithmetic, never generated
  • The letter is checked back against the sums
  • Anything off your rate card is flagged, not guessed
  • Below your floor means refused, not queued
